Choosing the Correct Air Cap

The correct air cap depends on the X 4100 spray gun configuration, needle/nozzle size, coating material, and application. Sagola specifies different air-cap systems for gravity-fed and pressure/suction X 4100 applications, so verify compatibility before ordering. 

For example, Sagola's application guide associates 765 and 777 with several pressure/suction applications; 20A with adhesives; 64, 62 and 67 with heavier or specialized coatings; and XT03/3030 with HVLP configurations. For gravity applications, Sagola lists 96, XT01 and XT03/3030 configurations depending on coating and nozzle size.
